Even though Britain is currently dealing with the tail end of the ‘Beast from the East’ and ‘Storm Emma’, Spring is literally just around the corner. Caravan and motorhome owners are starting to plan their well deserved getaways, especially for the Easter school holidays, which this year start on 29th March to 16th April.

So, where do you fancy going? With a caravan or a motorhome the choice is almost endless, with many places throughout the UK hosting crowd-pulling events to attract visitors and holidaymakers.

To help you decide, we have produced a list of websites that offer directories of events and destinations, which we hope will allow you to decide where you should take your caravan and motorhome holiday.

VisitEngland.com, visitwales.com and visitscotland each offer a host of events and destinations within their regions so you can plan your break; places such as the Ring of Brodgar Walk on the Orkney Islands, or the Easter Eggstravaganza at the National Waterfront Museum, or, how about releasing your inner Wordsworth with ‘Words by the Water Festival’ in Keswick, Cumbria.

For music lovers there are plenty of websites that provide you with a list of music festivals, such as thefestivalcalendar.co.uk; this website has plenty of events, accommodating a range of musical genres, from the Edinburgh International Harp Festival, to the Sub Focus Live, in Manchester. This website also provides details of events taking place throughout the summer, too.

Another useful website is Nationaltrust.org.uk – the National Trust has hundreds of destinations, with each one hosting one type of event or another during 29th March to 16th April, so you are sure to find an event, or two that interests you.

Keeping to the historical theme, English-hertigate.org.uk is another useful website. Like the National Trust, English Heritage provides information about events taking place throughout spring. Both of these websites are also good reference points for your summer holidays, too.

It’s worth pointing out that you can also find event information by following these organisations on social media, you may actually find their social media platforms more helpful because you can ask them questions, as well as starting up conversations with them about particular events of interests.

Another great way to find out about local events taking place in spring is to contact the caravan sites within the areas you are interested in, simply Google the place name and then click on their websites.

As well as useful website addresses, simply using the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo and Bing can generate good ideas, use search terms such as: ‘Where to caravan Easter holidays’ and ‘Events during Easter holiday 2018. A good tip when using search engines is to use asterisk and
